Christofle continues its wildlife collection, with this Sterling silver panther. After the first panther on the lookout, Allison Hawkes created this new sculpture, made entirely by hand by our Master Silversmiths in the Christofle Haute Orfevrerie workshops in France. The panther, synonym of power and authority, has fascinated civilizations with its power, grace and speed. Represented from the Antiquity on Roman mosaics with the god Bacchus, it occupies an important place in African and South-East Asian cultures. Christofle has chosen to represent a hunter on the lookout, ready to leap on its prey. The finishes of the sterling silver and the fine lines chased on the piece accentuate the realism of this feline, standing on a brass base with black patina finish.
