Description

Identical replica of a cup and saucer made around 1810 by the Parisian Nast Manufacture. The taste for Egyptian decoration saw an unprecedented and explosive interest in France during the Egyptian campaign. This cup being a perfect example. The motifs are inspired from monuments of ancient Egypt and are not faithful reproductions of authentic inscriptions.
